Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County :: How You Can Help
Make a Difference
Your participation helps to ensure that the Army Corp of Engineers does not modify its original position in its Outgrant Policy with the public. The Outgrant Policy is designed to give guidelines for a constant, nationwide policy for non-recreational real estate outgrant request for use of Civil Works lands and waters. It clearly states that cross-county utilities must have no other viable alternative to the activity or structure being located on Civil Works land or waters. The Greenbelt Alliance feels there are other viable alternatives that should be taken and is working to ensure that the power transmission line does not cross the Greenbelt.
We need your help! The Greenbelt Alliance feels that our best chance of preserving the natural beauty of the Greenbelt is to join together.
